Im März 2008 haben wir über MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES –MSF- (ÄRZTE OHNE GRENZEN) der Aidsgruppe im Thyolo-Hospital in Malawi 3000,00 € zur Verfügung gestellt. Bis zur Gründung dieser Gruppe im Jahr 2007 waren die dortigen Aidspatienten völlig auf sich gestellt und wurden aus dem Hospital entlassen, um Platz für andere Patienten zu machen. Die Aidsgruppe hat sich gegründet, um durch offene Kommunikation mehr Akzeptanz in der Bevölkerung zu schaffen. Die Gruppe besteht aus HIV-infizierten Personen, die von Mitarbeitern von MSF unterstützt werden. Die Ziele der Gruppe sind insbesondere:
- Erhöhung der Akzeptanz von Aidspatienten
- Unterstützung und das Training der Hospitalmitarbeiter
- Öffentlichkeitsarbeit
- Bildung ähnlicher Gruppen in anderen
Gesundheitszentren
- Erfahrungsaustausch mit anderen Gesundheitszentren
- Unterstützung aller gefährdeter Gruppen

In March 2008 we supported by the help of MEDECINS SANS FRONTIERES –MSF- (DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS) the AIDS Group at the Thyolo Hospital in Malawi with € 3000,00. By the foundation of this group in 1977 the local AIDS patients were completely alone and had to leave the hospital to make room for other patients. The AIDS group has been established to accomplish more acceptance in the population by an open communication. The group consists of HIV-infected people, supported by members of ASF. The aims of the group are especially:
- increasing acceptance of AIDS patients
- support and training of hospital staff
- public relations
- formation of similar groups in other health centres
- exchange of experience with other health centers
- support of all endanged groups
